Guest guest
Hi everyone. I went for my pre-op visit at Mt. Sinai yesterday. I have a few questions. I need to have an upper endoscopy and sleep study done before I can schedule my surgery. Does the insurance company usually cover the cost of pre-op tests? My second question is regarding the removal of the gallbadder. Dr. Herron doesn't remove it. I asked about gallstones post-op and he said only 1:4 develops gallstones. Has anyone else not had their gallbadder removed with this surgery? My final question is regarding vita4life. The nutritionist said that there is not enough of what we need in the vita4life and that other suppliments need to be added if those vitamins are taken. Does anyone else take vita4life and what else do you add to them? i Thought they were specifically designed for RNY ers therefore fine for us as well.
