I'm in Psych and my day is generally full of hospital consults,

individual patients, evaluations, medications etc. I wanted to do

both the psych and adult masters programs so that I could combine

these-- after all, the mental and physical well-being are very

integrated. But I was made to choose. I opted for the psych

specialization. And as I see the amount of new information I have to

take in on a regular basis and look at what my friends who are Adult

NPs have to learn and know, I realize that it is really too much to

expect to keep on top of both of these. I have and use my medical

knowledge constantly.

One of my DS post-op friends is in the ANP certificate program here

and I think how wonderful it will be for her MO patients to get her

as their healthcare provider. I

The work is hard, the responsibility great, money good (not

fantastic) and it is very personally meaningful for me.
