Question for the other RNs in the group, or anyone who might know....

My labs came back normal for the most part except my amylase was way low--only

20 (range 60-180)

the only thing I could find about low amylase was chronic pancreatitus,

pancreatic CA, cirrhosis, hepatitis, and toxemia.

I am not pregnant, drink only 1-3 drinks a year, and dont have any pain that is

usually associated with pancreatitis or CA. Been vaxed for hep B. I have had

mild to moderate epigastric pain >4 months, but was told it was probably either

related to being on naprosyn and celebrex for prior knee pain. ( was on one of

the two for a total of 6 months)

most other labs were normal, any ideas?
