Guest guest
I found that Gas-X and Phazyme both work well for me (they have the same ingredients, just different brands). The thing that helped me most with the discomfort in the early post-op days was walking around the house. I would do laps around the house and I found the more I moved the better I felt. The best thing for discomfort is time. After one week I felt a lot better and at 2 weeks I felt like I was becoming a person again. Kathy M. Guest guest
, I found in the early stage soft, moist foods worked best. Tuna, yogurt, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs with sour cream (I hate eggs) so sour cream helped. Avocado, shrimp. You get the idea. If it sounded good I gave it a try. Go slow. I tried lactaid for dairy but found it wasn't dairy that was killing me. It was poultry. Doctor gave me Flagyl recently. That has helped with gas and odor but has given me very loose stool. Glad you are home and on the mend. Guest guest
Judie, No I don't know though doc said it was relatively harmless. He only gave me enough for about 1 week.
