Had my consult!

Went to the surgeon today for my consult, he was surprised at how

much info i already had...thanks to all of you!! He recommended a

book by Barbara " weight loss surger, finding the thin person

hiding inside you! " Because of this site, and those mentioning this

as their wls bible, I had already bought and read this book. Boy

was he surprised LOL. He said Im a great canidate for this. Im

really excited, he gave me the good, the bad and the ugly aspects of

it all. There is a support group in the area that meet every 2 weeks

w/about 60 members and he said these people all spill it out and tell

you like it is....Im going to it next week! Also have my intake on

the 15th of this month where i see the dietician, psychologist and

clinician all in one morning will be there about 4 hrs. He doesnt

think the insurance company will be a problem, but Im concerned since

my husbands company just told us that after having the same insurance

for 15 years they are changing to bc/bs as of Sept 1st. The surgeon

didnt like the sound of that and if I want to go through with this

will try to get it all done before that w/the insurance we have now.

I cant believe it, after all this time, it sounds like it will go

fast. He writes the letters to the insurance company for the

preapproval and doesnt think it will be a problem because of my

comobilities. He also recommended the websites of obesityhelp.com

and asbs.org. told him they were listed in my favorites...again

thanks to all of you!! Wont know much now until I go for the

intake in 2 weeks but know that Im here rooting you all on and know
