I certainly agree with that one. I had a bad tooth acting up a few of weeks

shoulders

are nearly as bad as theyve ever been and my skin has gone to about 15% and

just have to be careful not to strain any more than necessary to do my job.

Hey Orin...I've actually noticed the opposite...my pain and symptoms chill

out about when I have an infection, I always thought it was because the

antibodies have something else to do! Please take care of yourself...lots of

rest

and maybe some warm baths to help you get through until you get to the

doctor...

Hi Orin,

i'm the same - about 2 months ago gotbronchitis... i immediately

stopped my gold injections but i went into an immediate flare and

hurt absolutely everywhere for 3 weeks... i felt about 150 years

old... around the same time vioxx was taken off the market (and i'm

still trying out alternatives, without much success unfortunately)

so the flares came back and appear to be very comfortable in my ol'

bod, i'm afraid :)

take care orin. really sad to hear of your regression... that's

rough.

love, karen

I get extra achy when fighting a cold, infection, or G-d for bid, the flu.

My mom and I have pa and she says the same thing. My normal pain spots get

worse and I get more achy than normal people with the same infection or virus.

A

mystery. For the past 5 days I have had bad muscle aches in my upper legs.

Could that be from pa or am I maybe fighting some kind of virus. Thanks to

this wonderful group. I have been in so much pain and fatigue but am too scared

to try biologics. I have 2 young kids and am afraid of anything happening to

me. It's just pain. I keep thinking this flare up since the Fall will end.

My back, toe joint, feet and hands are mostly affected.

How old are you? I'm 41 years old or young depending what type of day

it is, with four young children. I was diagnosed with PA in November.

I've had two flare ups to date. How long have you and your mother

had PA? Mine started out with a finger that got swollen, inflammed

and wouldn't get better. I had an x-ray done on it and eventually saw

a rhuematologist for it.

Hi Rhonda,

I'm 37 and have 2 children. My back pain started in 97 after my first baby.

Then rib pain, followed by hand and feet pain, especially in one toe joint.

Plus fatigue. My mom had symptoms as young as I and in her 50's was diagnosed

with fibromialgia and pa. After many other treatment courses she is now

doing remicade. Hope you're feeling well,

ps I got my first case of iritis recently

I'm so glad we have the message boards for supporting each other. The

information on this website is so informative. I am doing much better. So far

I've had two flare ups. I still do not have mobility in my pinky finger where

the last flare up occured. Do you have mobility problems too? I hope the

remicade works out well for your mother. What concerns me is having more joints

lock up from future flares. I've asked my Rhuematologist what to expect. He

tells, " I can't predict the future. " I understand that, but I believe in

preventing reoccurances if at all possible.

Take Care,

Rhonda

sounds like a maxillary sinus infection, very opportunistic.

you should see a doc and have a catscan or mri done to find out.

if you're already on abx, which i think you are. it may be a reason

to look into your immune complex and see if you are a candidate for

iv gamma globulin.

you wouldn't sinus surgery as your system is already

immunocompromised.

if it is a sinus infection and it doesn't clear with proper abx (try

ketek first) you can have a biopsy done of the mucous and see if it

fungal, which would call for antifungal treatment.

in otherwords don't take it lightly.

My son just got an infection where the helmet was rubbing and got

irritated. It was just adjusted that day and when I took off the

helmet there was a big red bump. The next morning there were small

little blisters on the red bump, and when we took him to the

pediatrician he thought it could be staph and did a culture and put

him on antibiotics...and no helmet until it is all the way healed. Has

this happened to anyone else? Once you got one infection, was that it,

or did putting the helmet back cause another one?? Are the results

from the helmet worth the aggravation and worry?!

I have heard about this before. If you have a red spot and it gets bad

enough for the skin to breakdown, you do need to leave the band off.

That is why it is important to catch red spots early, but it isn't

always possible depending when they show up and if the baby doesn't let

you know. Babies heal quickly, so hopefully you'll only be out of the

band a few days. Make sure you get it adjusted when you're ready to put

it back on. My daughter didn't have this problem but even most parents

that do think the band is worth it. Hopefully this is a one-time

problems. Keep us posted on what happens next.

My sons helmet has made a world of difference, but all along we have been dealing with his skin we had sores seeping out puss red blisters all over his forehead u name it , the thing that has helped us the most is a cream we got from the Dr called nystatin and also used Hydrocortisone at the same time and ONLY using a mild soap to wash it no matter how bad the smell was. There have been plenty of times I wondered if it was worth it we kept going, we will probably get out of it on March 6th his head is not 100% better but I would say about 85%. before I knew what it was) I have covered it in oregano oil and teatree to

disinfect but it is not drying out! I'm getting a bit worried that I will need

to go to doctor and have their stupid antibiotics if this doesn't start clearing

up. Is there anything else I can do? Is it dangerous to keep trying to heal it

myself?

+++Hi there. What is your name please?

Antibiotics are poisons which simply suppress symptoms and don't cure them.

Your boil is caused by toxins coming out, so I suggest you apply wet hot packs

to it to help it, rather than any oregano or tea tree oils. It would also help

a lot to apply a castor oil pack on it:

It needs to take its own time to dry out so just let your body do its job.

Of course getting out toxins through the skin comes from inside so you need to

follow this program so your body has the nutrients and resources it needs so it

can get rid of toxins.

+++Hi Cellina. Is it like an open ulcer, and what size is it?
