Guest guest
Grace of God, thanks be to the Highest that your life was spared Sharon. I agree with ph and Lori that yours was bad fortune. I am so sorry this happened to you. But, you join a very elite club that Jospeh and I and others belong to, that is the 'it damn near killed me more than once' gang. For me it was a staph infection that ate whole organs up--sicker than the proverbial canine and hospitalized more days of the first year than not with insane docs who disagreed with one another and one of the subsequent surgeries collasped my otherwise healthy lung, the saga got worse and worse and went on for the better part of two years. It took the next two years after that to even half-way recover from the first two years of travail. My health is still frail and I have to take special care. All this just to say Sharon, I can tell that you will perservere... Hang in there, take care and be more and more well everyday. You are lucky to have had loving friends and family close by. I can tell from what you told us that you are very blessed. Also, I think most all of us knew 'in advance' that we were taking our lives in our hands. To my mind the surgery should be called " DLFL " -- " desperate lunge for Life. " To many of us, the weight loss was secondary or even tertiary motivation. Turning away certain doom with regard to health, early death, living completely disabled, was the primary motivator. A try for the golden ring, even a brass one, was better than no ring at all, end of ride. love ceep
