Guest guest
There ae so many factors about teeth, incuding what antibiotics you have taken in your life, what the acidity is in your mouth, and a good deal about permanent teeth depends on the health of your mother when she was carrying and making you. My mother had tuberculosis and was malnutritioned when we were conceived. Our teeth suffered, thin enamel, easily broken. Like you, we were poor as childrren, and later as adults, and for many years I could not afford the 1k and 2k dentist bills. We went without for years, I cringe to admit it, it is embarrassing, but I pulled my own teeth when I had abcesses as an adult. There was no other way... single mother, welfare, little child support, trying to go to school, work, trying to pull the family up.. hard times. BUT. where there is a will there is a way. I recommend to you the university dental clinic where they see people often for very small sums of money. It is student work but supervised by actaul dentist right there at hand. It's just a thought, and I know you will find your way. You're a brave girl. Teeth are a versy sensitive issue and are very sensitive in and of themselves. Keep going. love, ceep In a message dated 5/3/03 1:53:36 AM, Graduate-OSSG writes: << uestion 1 and 2....only for a short time to both. I was told by dentist that my enamble is very thin. Had only two cavities by age 26. Those were from the age 15. Age 27 had WLS. Began having problems with cavities. At first I was told that I was just not a kid anymore. More and more cavities....11, 9, 8, 12....each time. Was written a prescription for floride. In 1999, broke my first tooth. In 2000, my first root cannal. I gave up counting cavities. In 2001, second root cannal. Last time I wrote on this subject to the list, 2 broken teeth...where the root cannals are. Now, 4 broken teeth. I stopped going to the dentist last year. I can not afford $1000 to fix my teeth with insurance. Last two rounds of having them fixed was $1000 each time. >>
