Dawn ... thanks so much for your thoughtful reply! I always hate blaming

things on my surgery, especially since all has gone so very well. You've

certainly given me something else to think about. Thanks again!

Louise, thanks so much for your reply as well. I, too, think it may be

stress (that I never knew I really had)! So, there ya have it! It was just

kinda

freaking me out as it just happened the day before my 48th birthday. Geeze,

feeling older was bad enough ... but to see this bald spot!!! Ha! Now I'm

thinner, older and GETTING BALD!! Who'd have thought it! =) Thanks again for

your thoughtful reply!

<< I started taking synthroid for my low thyroid back in my late 20's, early

30's. Every so often, I would get tired of taking pills and just not do 'em.

Every time I laid off the synthroid, I would develop one of these little bald

circles on my head, about the size of a fifty-cent piece to a silver dollar

size. >>

Okie dokie, Carol. This one may have actually hit the nail on the head (so

to speak). I, too, take Synthroid and, as of late, have been (*sigh*) tired of

taking my daily pill (like an idiot). Every so often I go through these lazy

periods and may be paying the price right now. Maybe it will finally take

my vanity to make me mind my " Ps & Qs " with regard to my daily meds!! It may

be my thyroid acting up!! Or, that I'm not absorbing my entire .75 mcg/day of

Synthroid. One of my nutrients may be finally conflicting with this and it's

now affecting me.

Thanks for your thoughts. Your note really hit home with me. I have a great

interinist, and I've got an appointment already for the 20th of June.

Hopefully, I won't be ENTIRELY bald by then!! Thank goodness I've got some hair

all

around this silver-dollar bald spot, so at least for now I can " hide " it.

Thanks, again. Wise words.
