Greetings Friends:

It has been eons, a new computer, new screename and a whole bunch of other

stuff since I wrote anything. Truth is, journalling on these threads was and

integral part of my recovery for quite awhile and I am doing my best to " get

back to basics " .

Some of you do not know me.....others I have been around with for years; my

surgery was in April of 1998. I hit the table at 535 pounds having weighed as

much as 600. My recovery has been my own saga, the same as all of yours has

been for you. My lowest weight was 179 - 180 and I was fit and buffed beyond

my furthest imagination. Oh well, NOW is NOW, and today I weighed in at an

uncomfortable, unhealthy, and unsafe 235 and have trouble eeking out 10 pushups

at a time (I used to do sets of 75).

Anyway, enough of that stuff.....I just wanted to touch base.....totally

confirm to any that might doubt that this is a tool and not a cure but more

importantly REACH OUT for the same loving hands and understanding that helped me

in

the past and I was so involved in. I was shocked to actually see a group

called Baron and Ray.....I had no idea of it's existence and it was a very

strange thing to behold. I MUST recreate my old mindset and yesterday was my

start.

I have come too far to fall back into the duldrums of compulsive eating;

something I will probably journal about along the way.

I just wanted to say hello to everyone, break the ice and get the proverbial

ball rolling. To the Moderators of the respective groups; I have posted in

one letter to any of the groups that I qualifed for....please advise me if that

is a problem. Otherwise, I do know and totally respect the guidelines and

privacy of individuals and the group collectively.
