My son has been in his starband for 7 weeks now. We just got back from

the neurologist and he says possibly another 6 weeks and he will be

done with the starband. I am so hoping he only has to wear it for 6

another

weeks, but it seems like a total of 13 weeks is too short of a time.

Has anyone's child only had to wear the band for this time frame?

Thanks and I hope what I said makes sense!

I would say 3-4 mo is pretty normal. My daughter wore hers for 5 mo

for severe brachy, but I think that is on the long side.

My daughter wore hers for 12 weeks. It just depends on growth and speed of correction.

I can't speak specifically to the Starband, but my son will have been

in his DOCband just 6 weeks (5.5mo-7mo) when we get it off Tuesday.

They had initially told me it would be 8-12 weeks because we started so

young, but that it all depends how quickly they grow.

13 weeks sounds just fine, though they should do measurements to make

sure there's been progress (I'm sure there was!) - congratulations!
