Guest guest
C, Please tell me it didn't take 3 years to recover enough to eat a crunchy carrot! hehe . . .Seriously this is a new concern. When I got into all this it was 5.5 weeks. That's it. Now I see so many people 3 months post op still swollen, still having complications. Ya, the wires come off in 5 weeks (and the splint the dr never said anything about until it was lodged in my mouth). But, then there's rubber bands (who knows what they will be like). I just want to know when does the recovery end.. . like eating cornchips end. (my husband ate them yesterday and daughter had her first so of course now I crave them although I've never liked them in my whole life!) Does anyone have a realistic timeframe where my cheeks are normal sized, my mouth can open widely, my jaws can crunch with no pain? I know it varies for person to person.
