Guest guest
I wanted to share that I found a new microwave dinner at Wal Mart's Supercenter called Chef's Choice. This is a microwave dinner sort of like a Lean Cuisine in the frozen food section. There are several different flavors of the brand, chicken cacciatore, beef w/broccoli, etc. There is a Chef's choice made by the same company and they are big bags you buy and then stir fry but these are different from those although they are made by the same company. I don't know why they named them the same thing because it is confusing. However, the ones I bought came in the frozen foods section next to Stouffers and are microwavable. All of them have 30 or 40 grams of protein and hardly any carbs. They are advertising them on the box as low carb so that is their intended market. The Chicken cacciatore box has 12 carbs, 40 grams protein, 5 of sugar and 310 calories. They taste pretty decent and all the ones I have tried are similar in calories and protein. The only place I have found them was Wal Mart Super center. If anyone else has seen them in another chain store, let me know. Also, I have started keeping a food diary daily of everything that goes in my mouth. The dietician I saw recently suggested this and it really has made a difference in how much I am eating and I am down a couple of pounds in a week. I told her I did not want to get into this obsessive habit of weighing, measuring, fretting and going crazy over everything I ate because that was how I ended up so overweight to begin with. She said don't even worry about it, just write all of it down. She said she would look at it for me and tell me what I could work on. She said even the act of writing all of it down might change some of my habits and it really has. Quite honestly, if I want to eat something, I do. But I do think twice about writing it down and sometimes skip something I am thinking about eating. It has made me more cognizant of drinking all my water and taking my vitamins too. Thought this might help someone else so I thought I would pass the tip on. R in Nashville
