Guest guest
For us, more severe punishment didn't work. It made the matter worse. The psych we were sent to told us we were bad parents. But why were our other 4 children ok? I didn't believe him. The school wanted us to put her on Ritalin. So did the Pediatrician. My brother is a pharmisist. He said do Anything but that. That led me to where I am today. Diet worked the best. Allergy testing helped. I wish I had known ABA with her. The hug machine probably would have really helped. After a while I began to notice that her behavior would escalate as her sensory load increased. I wish back then I would have known about Aspberger's but it wasn't even a coined word then. Look into Dr. Attwood's book. Also tell the school you want an evaluation for Aspberger's via a child developmental pysch. All of our children's hospitals here in MO have a developmental section. I would diffently read the book first so you will know your child better and know what to say to the DR. My spell check is off today in both brain and computer. sorry. __________________________________________________
