Quite impressed, BTW Where is the 7 yr old in > the line up in your children?...what made you go GFCF? My kids have been gfcf for 5 years. My 7 1/2 year old is the last of three; his 12 year old brother(with autism) and 13 1/2 year old sister(ADD) are the real reason we went gfcf. I thought they all had celiac disease until the blood test came back negative a few weeks after they were all showing improvement on the diet. Of course, we hadn't heard about Wakefield's MMR research or mercury poisoning then, so now I know WHY they need the diet, then I just knew that they needed it! My husband still hates storebought gfcf breads, but he eats lunch out, so it is not much of a problem. My kids aren't crazy about Food 4 Life Brown Rice or Pecan Rice breads, even toasted-- a staple in our house since I am tired of baking daily like I did at first-- but they eat school lunches made with it. I bake a fair amount of muffins, coffee cakes, sweets and such, and they taste as good as those that contain g & c, so no one complains. (Aside from personal preferences, like the one who hates spices or zuccini, the one who can't eat eggs, etc.) My youngest has been eating his own foods since preschool, so doesn't have a problem with it, as long as I " match " coveted foods with other, safe ones. ( " Since you didn't have nie's surprise birthday cupcakes at school today, I'll bake brownies tonight. " ) They are eagerly chelating, though, in the hope that it will mean an eventual return to the food the rest of the world eats.
