Guest guest
<her new insurance (healthnet) has denied her plastic surgery (tt and breast lift) They say it is not medically necessary and is cosmetic> I'm not at that stage yet and I hope that someone with experience can answer you better, but I can tell you what I've learned from people on this list. Most insurance's don't cover these procedures unless you can prove medical necessity. If you have a large stomach apron (panni) it can cause back aches and is a site prone to yeast, fungus and other infections. If you can document some of these infections, your friend may prove medical necessity. I am prone to these infections and I'm making sure my PCP notes them when I have my regular visits. I also get the infections in the folds on my legs so I'm hoping that the insurance will cover it. I don't think there is any way to prove medical necessity for breast lift.
