Re: Alpha-ketoglutaric acid and Vitamin C

Has anyone ever heard of alpha-ketoglutaric acid? In the report we got

back from Great Plains Labs, it mentioned that my older son was low in

this item. They also called it by another name - 2 oxoglutaric acid. I

checked with my local HFS and they never heard of it. The report

mentioned that supplementing him with this may have some beneficial

effects, but I'd like to hear back from any others who may have tried

this.

Also, the report mentioned that I should supplement him with additional

vitamin C and I wanted to know of a good over the counter brand that's

GFCF. I like Kirkman products, but am tired of mail ordering everything.
