Yep! Although I would recommend not necessarily puree the carrots into the soup -- you might want to have those separately. I say this because I didn't tolerate the carrots at all, and had to use zucchini. Carrots and I didn't get along for a good eight months or so. Note that you don't have to eat the soup as soup -- you could eat the chicken meat and vegetables separately, and drink the broth if you wished. In addition, you can do things like beef roasts and well-cooked vegetables as you begin to add things. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
This may be totally incorrect but when I did Intro, I just pureed it all and it was fine. But I did Intro a couple months after I started with the regular diet (minus the dairy and eggs, as I said before). I'm making soup today .... for the intro diet is it correct to strain everything out except the chicken and carrots (in other words, the parsley, onion and celery can be simmered but not eaten, right?)
