I'll test that theory once I'm back on solid foods though You can do it egg and dairy free, trust me Elaine felt that one should at least eat eggs in some form, and fish would be good, too. She was strongly against a vegan diet. I know that in the first couple years I was on SCD, many, MANY of the people who came to SCD were former vegetarians. In fact, my own mentor was a practicing Buddhist, who severely struggled with the idea of eating meat. Her teacher finally pointed out to her that by not eating meat, she was damaging her chance at healing, and that that was bad, also.
