Is it time to dump all the food I've been cooking over the past few days and start the intro diet over, or this not that big of a deal? (I'd guess I've had 2g of sugar yesterday and 2g today, and I have 2 qts of the stuff on the stove as we speak Dump it (or give it to someone else who would enjoy it) and start over. Sugar is sugar. It is a big deal - especially on intro. All bouillion is illegal, as it probably also contains things like MSG and lots of other illegal and bad for you things. Invest in a mega pot - and use the new pot to cook double or triple the amount that you've been cooking. More pot = less cooking time. Guest guest
We are not supposed to use ready made chicken broth for that reason. We are supposed to make our own from the recipe on BTVC. There have been several posts recently on the benefits of home made broths with bones. Commercial broths do not give the same benefits as they take short cuts and always have additives. Even a small bit of sugar is a feast for bacteria. Sorry. Dump it, get some chicken wings and boil up a batch of healthy broth. Don't kick yourself. Mistakes are common in the beginning and we've all been there. This is why this board it here- to help.
