IS it true that getting the braces off hurt?

I'm so close to getting my braces off now. In the past I've heard a few

work colleagues mention that when they had their braces off ,it hurt.

Now I know that after having gone through surgery , getting them off

should be like taking a walk in the park but if it's true then I'd like

to go in feeling prepared and then if it's not sore it will be a bonus.

I can't believe how quickly this whole process has gone and I wish

everyone good luck and best wishes in their forthcoming and ongoing
