Saw Dr. Pirani today around lunchtime and got Hayden's cast reapplied.

This time they used the smaller size of the sock type underlayer on

his foot and some Friar's Balsam to prevent further slippage. Hayden

screamed like a Banshee for the first part like he usually does, but

calmed down and before we knew it, it was done. His foot had not lost

any correction or dorsiflexion, so we're in the clear and just need to

keep these babies on until his shoes arrive (please God, let that be

SOON!) Whew! I'm getting exhausted from all of this and don't know

how you parents have done it when you had to travel great distances!

My hat comes off to all of you who have been through that.

I'm assume you take Hayden to a Ponseti doctor, but if he screams so much for

casting and you suffer so much slippage I have to wonder about the doctor's

ability/skill level here.

Hi,

So glad to hear that his foot hadn't lost any correction. I hope those shoes

come quickly! Please let us know how it goes with the s.
