However, before trying melatonin or clonidine for sleep issues, I would recommend you consider high phenol issues. What you describe for your child sounds exactly like my son before I removed the highly phenolic foods from his diet. It is a blood pressure medication and if you just stop it, your child's blood pressure can do strange things.
