I've been one to whine about plateaus in the past, so I thought I

would balance that by posting when my weight loss is going well,

also! I've lost 13 pounds just since September 2nd! This has

been a great month for weight loss!

I'm almost 2 weeks short of being 8 months out from surgery.

I stopped drinking sugared pop (pepsi!) and juice and my weight loss

has really sped up again. I don't know if that was the culprit or

not, but it can't hurt, right? My tummy has also been kind of upset

so I've been trying to stick to protein shakes & rice mostly, so I

think that because I'm eating less, that could be it too. I am also

making sure to exercise more.

I've also heard that warm weather makes you retain water, so now

that it's cooler, maybe my body is just getting rid of the water. I

think all these things could be contributing, so I won't

over-analyze it - I'll just enjoy it. :)

A couple of weeks ago I set out to walk 2.2 miles and I doubled it

just because I felt so good while walking! Walked 4.4 miles. I can't

remember when I've EVER done that! It really felt great.

I feel terrific lately and am loving my weight loss. I have only 106

pounds left to lose to make it to goal, and more than 16 more months

to lose it - that's an average of only 6.6 pounds per month to lose -

I'm starting to think this will actually work for me, knock on wood!

I also have to lose only 6 more pounds in 2 weeks (dunno if I can do

that) to meet my goal of being down 140 pounds by 8 months out. I'm

pretty happy about that!

I guess that's all I know for now. I'll sign off with a recipe for

the best protein shake I've tried yet (my own recipe - hehe):

In a shaker bottle put:

- 1 scoop of Designer Protein (unflavored - purple container)

- 1 package of " Diet Swiss Miss "

- a couple of dashes of Splenda sweetener (depends on individual

taste)

- 8 ounces of water

Shake it up GOOD and drink it! Provides about 20 grams of protein and

very few carbs.
