Guest guest
I don't have much advice about keeping casts dry, but I did want to say that when I soaked casts off it took well over an hour of complete immersion in a tub, so I wouldn't worry too much about getting the casts wet! Whatever moisture they get on them from diaper changes or whatever really isn't going to harm them. Especially since the upper leg area is not the area where the correction is happening! As for diapers, I always use LUVS and have never had leaks. Each time I've had a new baby people have given us Huggies and Pampers and I'm always thrilled when we use them up and I can go back to LUVS. Both Huggies and Pampers have leaked, left little bottoms wrinkled from too much moisture, and wicked the moisture right out of the diaper onto the onesie (different from a leak out the leg, this seems to go right though). I hate those brands. You pay more and they don't even work as good! would be shocked if you had a problem with the LUVS. Oh, also, I know that I got 's casts a little wet with the sponge baths. It definitely was not a problem. Donna > > Maddie came through her tenotomy and anesthesia fine. Now I have > another question. She'll have these casts for three weeks and we need > to keep them dry.
