Guest guest
Kim, Thanks for answering. I hope my surgeon doesn't want me to be off for 6 weeks. While I appreciate the fact that it gives you an opportunity to get accustomed to the diet and the changes in your body, I would have to delay the surgery until I have enough leave to take off that long. Plus, I'm not sure I could be away from the office that long. And after 6 weeks.....NO ONE will recognize me!!!!!!!!! Now THAT is an AWESOME thought!!! Thanks, Tressa I had lap gbs and I had no problems. I am one month out and doing FANTASTIC!!!! There was little pain and I was up and around as soon as soon as the second day after surgery. Now mind you I just turned 31 and had no other problems other than being over weight. I have a desk job too but my doctor makes all his patients take 6 weeks off. He wants everyone to concentrate on eating and healing. Not many people who have this surgery are off that long. Kim Tressa999@... wrote: Ok, here is the question I have been waiting to ask. Regarding the pain after laproscopic RNY. Relative to laproscopic gall bladder surgery...the same, not as bad or worse. I had the gall bladder surgery 4 years ago. The pain was kind of bad for the first 3 days. But after that, was very bearable. And one other question. With a desk job, how long do you need to take off of work with the lap RNY? I'm hearing 2-3 weeks, 3-4 weeks. With the gall bladder, I was told one week. I went back to work after that week, but was very week, and ended up taking off 3 more days. So............will 3 weeks do it???? I know these seem like baby questions, but I have a tendency to dwell on these kinds of things. Thanks for any answers anyone can provide.
