I too have Cigna and have just recently started the pre-approval

process. I fully expect to be denied the first go around.... however

I have it in my head that I'm going to win this fight no matter

what We'll see...

Anyway, did you get copies of what your surgeon sent to Cigna? Do you

have a copy of the denial from Cigna? I think, in order to fight them,

you need to be as fully informed as possible in regards to what was

submitted and the reason for the denial.

Is your husbands company self insured? If so, then Cigna only

administers the policy, and from what I understand they wouldn't be the

*real* final word on what is covered or not(which is the case where I

work)... Not sure how much it would help, but if so, you may also want

to talk to human resources at your husbands company to get them

involved.
