Guest guest
Jane!! That's the whole point!!! Your asshole-surgeon didn't drag you off the street to have the procedure. (You didn't ask to have the problems you had either) BUT I am sure there are other surgeons out in the large expansive world performing the same kind of surgery and that a few of them were accessable to you. THAT MEANS that you CHOSE to have him provide that service to you above other surgeon's providing it. That means that you hired him to provide you with the service. He gets by... maintains his business and livelihood- puts food on the table and pays back medical school loans because he has patients to work on. YOU make it possible for him to have a job. He wouldn't make money without his patients, which makes him obligated to YOU. NOT the other way around. I work at a Dr. office. Some of the doctors there get so annoyed or frustrated with the clients. (At times understandibly!!! You don't know what kind of people exist out there.. well you probably do because they are also parents!.... but I'm getting side tracked) My point just is that for them, like with your surgeon, it is the very client/patient that is frustrating them that is also paying their paycheck. FURTHERMORE... they chose that profession. They chose that they wanted to have patients to help and provide a service to with their knowledge and expertise. Therefore, they have asked for the phonecalls and questions and all of the rest of it. The point of the doctor is to have patients to help!!! It is just rediculous that your surgeon-asshole has such a self-inflated sense of who he is and how great he thinks he is. Without patients- YOU- he is nothing with no money and probably has a lot of debt or something ta boot! Your experience with that guy JUST FROSTS MY COOKIE!!!!!!! Anyway, he is there to serve you. You have chosen him. You could have chosen someone else. You could have taken your money elsewhere. So, no he didn't drag you in off the street. THAT IS PRECISELY THE POINT!!!! I'd do what I could to damage his business and make him feel it where it counts... Kate suggested some excellent avenues to take that would work towards that end. Your ortho needs to know what kind of asshole he is sending his patients to, because frankly, it reflects badly on him as well. He might be interested. GOOD LUCK and let us know how it goes. Hope you don't have to put up with him too much longer..... Just print this out and mail it to him. :) Maybe then, " genius " will get the point....
