Guest guest
Funny you should ask that. I had never realized I had a small speech impediment until someone videotaped me about two years ago while using a microphone. No one had ever told me this, however I don't think many people, even family, would say " Hay, what's up with your speech impediment? " I started paying more attention to the way I annunciate, and once braces were put on I noticed that if I wasn't careful, my barely noticeable impediment became extremely noticeable. I haven't yet had my surgery, but I have high hopes that it will solve some of these issues. I hope your surgery helps with yours. Let us know once the wires come off. > > I'm curious if anyone here (especially those with a class 3) has had a > speech impediment due an open bite and whether or not orthognathic > surgery helped/made worse/or did nothing for their specific case.
