Guest guest
Hi. I just had my lower jaw brought forward last monday. Although the immediate swelling was unbelievable, it went down enough that I returned to work the following monday. I wore a turtleneck because my whole neck and upper chest are green but my cheeks are only a little puffy. I had absolutely NO numbness, despite my surgeons warning that I might. The pain was not really very bad either... in the hospital they pumped me with morphine until the morning after surgery and then I went home the next morning and took some percoset but mostly just took motrin. I also get stuffy a lot but was always able to breathe- even through my mouth. And because they only moved the lower, I was allowed to blow my nose after surgery. Not being able to do that would have been really frustrating. Good Luck! T. > > The surgery I'm having is to have my lower jaw moved forward.
