I am so happy to hear that! Thanks to everyone who answered my question.

I know most of the info (95% of it)I received from my Dr.'s dietian was

based on the RNY diet and not on the DS because she wasnt really up on

it. She wanted me to eat pureed for month after coming home even though

the doctor had said i could eat what i felt capable of.

We do not count calories after surgery By the time a DSer is a year

out

should be eating 2500 calories a day and only absorbing HALF of that!

Half

of that is 1250 calories! This is why you dont need to count calories!

I had a week of liquid and then a week of puree...they say to give the

stomach time to get healing good...but I will say I was HUNGRY that 2nd

week...no way I would not have eaten!!

Why? Its certainly not the norm. By the time I was 10 days out I had half

a cheeseburger from Mcs!

I couldnt have handled liquids for 3 weeks!
