Guest guest
Dear Dawna, At this point, I am losing about 8-10 lbs. a month. I plateau, gain about 1-2 pounds, plateau and then lose about 3-4 lbs. I think the body retains fluids trying to hold onto the fat. Take your body measurements. I find that I have lost more inches than pounds and my clothes are less snug (I can wear an off the rack size 12 now!). The weightloss at this point seems alot less than the inches lost. Fluid retention doesn't have to be PMS based. A little salt, the heat and humidity, etc... seem to also make me " retain " . Also, try weighing yourself just once a month on the same day. Good luck. Guest guest
Raising hand...... I weighed 218 last week and now 222.5. I seem to go down, back up, then down again. Then I begin another looooooong plateau. I have increased my exercise (added weight training to 3/week water arobics classes @1.5-2 hr each). Regarding constipation, try a can of SlimFast - this gave me the runs and when I mentioned it to Dr he said there was something in it that causes some people to " go " - plus the added bonus of protein. Increasing your fat also helps. B., SC > I am so NOT happy about this, I could just cry. Guest guest
I'm just a lowly pre-op, but I've heard MANY post-ops report weight gains not long before a large loss. One post-op mentioned that the body seems to hold onto everything it can as long as it can and then BANG! It lets a bunch go. Patience is what I think post-ops would recommend... (Easier said than done for this pre-op who keeps gaining...) alyssa Gained again! > I am so NOT happy about this, I could just cry.
