The only difference is plastic surgery is not necessary (In most cases anyway

) and this is to save my life now before I can't fix things. I don't

understand why and how they justify saving an alcoholic or bulemic and they

cant do anything for weight loss....talk about things being idiotic

Hi all !!!

I've lost my 3rd appeal from Blue Cross! I don't believe they even

read the info I sent with the last appeal!

Now I'm preparing to use the Department of Managed health Care in

Sacramento , Ca. Hopefully they will intervine. They do have the power

to overturn blue cross decision!

For now what I could use help & direction with is this:

Someone/anyone who was approved by Blue Cross???

Someone/anyone who was denied , but , you fought with appeals and WON!

Someone/anyone who has used the DMHC to fight the insurance company

and overturn their decision.

any help & direction would be appreciated ...

Steve, I don't have any information for you but I do

want to say how sorry I am for the crap you're going

through. It's absolutely ridiculous. They'll pay for

everything related to being overweight (diabetes,

apnea, etc.) but won't help you get thinner!

GRrrrrrrrrrr

That reminds me... when I spoke with my doctor

yesterday, I told him how sad it was that a few people

on the Egroups I belong to have had to go to Spain to

get surgery. He kinda shrugged and said people have

been going to Brazil for plastic surgery for years.

Humph!

grrrr! I hate that kind of 'so what?' attitude! I'm sorry, but

equating life-saving surgery with make-me-look-like-my-daughter

surgery just gets my goat bigtime.
