Guest guest
Thank you all who were so kind to post about Grant. He's been recovering well from the shunt revision, though I've been a bit stressed watching for more signs of failure and dealing with some Really Unhappy kids. Grant goes next week for a barium swallow study and a urethral stricture repair. I'm so not looking forward to it! He's been smiley and adorable, though, and I just thought I'd post a quick update and thanks. I will try to reply to your responses later. Guest guest
I hope the swallow study goes well! We go to the doctor on the 25th, and I am going to ask when he plans on doing another one for . I am hoping sometime this summer as it will be 6 months since he got his g-tube. Has he had one before? They are very easy especially if your child likes to eat! Joy wrote: Thank you all who were so kind to post about Grant. Guest guest
Thanks for the reply, ! Grant does like to eat, but he's not had a bottle. I need to get one, so I can be sure he'll take it for the test. Apparently, they don't use breasts for the swallow test. LOL I'm thinking he'll do okay taking the test, though. I'm kind of frustrated today. I think Grant has a virus or ear infection or (Oh, i don't even want to think it) shunt infection. He's running a very low-grade fever, I think, and he's grunting almost constantly. I also discovered this morning he has a pressure sore starting on his left foot. argh! Just waiting for a callback from the doc. Joy --- JGOODIN wrote: > I hope the swallow study goes well!
