Guest guest
Well- I don't have qualities to share but I am smiling today because I want to celebrate another sign that Connor is on his way-He feels pain! Before he would only cry a little if he really got hurt badly-like alot of blood. Now he howls at the top of his lungs, asks for kisses, tells us where it hurts, etc. How normal! I can't help but smile when he's crying from a little pain and comes to us for comfort. Only his twin is suffering from this because now we know when he has given Connor a whack! Thanks for giving me an opportunity to share. Helene
Guest guest
, This has been a hard month for our family. today marks 1 month on this diet...sticking to it is getting easier...accepting that my son has autism is not. your message this morning has helped me to realize how out of it i've been for the past couple months. As i watch my beautiful boy sleeping he looks like an angel. Last night we went to the marina in town and did ring around the rosie in the gazebo. We always squat down and do the second verse of " picking up the posies " for the first time Max squated to and very enthusiastically pretended to be picking up the posies with us!!!! hooray for this little things in life!!!!! Thanks again...Sharon C.
Guest guest
* , I read your post last night, but cried it was so beautiful, so figured I'd wate till today to post. Went back to reread yours and cried again. Thanks for this post and giving us this idea to post how we feel. What I love about LJ actually is how loving, trusting and innocent he is. His hugs are the best hugs I ever got!!!! I know he loves me and needs me, but you know what, I need him just as much. I have realized the value of life through him. So my dishes aren't done, theres toys all over, kitchen floor is yucky, but LJ and I are having fun. He is a very sweet boy and would never do harm (except to the ants he loves to squish!!) and I wish the rest of the world was as loving and sweet as most of our children on this list are. Thanks. on Long Island New York (LJs mom) * ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Guest guest
Shari, I agree totally with you. One of the greatest qualities my son has is that he showed me to be a better person. I do not take for granted that he can say sorry and mean it or that he can tell me what he wants for lunch. I am so happy and amazed that he can do that. The greatest gift he gave me is patience and understanding and not just of him but of every child in this world. I was very naive before but now I'm a much better person with the help of my son and if I could take back everything I've gone through I wouldn't. He has taught me so many important lessons in life and I know he was meant to be the way he is. MA
Guest guest
: ) , I am glad someone else feels like this. Many look at me and say " I would give it all up for the perfect child " , they neve understand that my son IS as close to perfection as they get, a few delays has NOTHING to do with a " Person " , a great person teaches all a great lesson, and my son has done this many times over! Sorry is my FAVORITE too, only 2nd to " I Love you " Which took me 4 years and 11 months to hear! -Shari Re: Re: Off topic beautifull qualitys > Shari, > I agree totally with you. Guest guest
Hi everyone, We just got back from a quick pre-schoolyear mini-vacation and I have fairly been weeping over all the posts on this topic. I, too, am keeping every last one of them to save for when I feel down. What I love and appreciate most about my darling Graham is how sweet and unprententious he is. It would never cross his mind to deliberately injure or mistreat someone, he is affectionate and gentle with everything. What I envy him is that, in his mind, the world is totally the way it should be...he doesn't worry or fret, he lives life with gusto. I believe God knew just what He was doing when he blessed me with this child... I would trade him for no other. His new phrases this summer are " never mind " , " no way " and " I'm gonna kick your butt! " --modeled after his surly preteen sister--ROFLMAO! Keep on posting these great vignettes---we are the lucky ones!! I think you all are wonderful moms/dads/grammas/whatever and are my extended family! E-hugs to each one of you :-) Fondly, J Couldn't be prouder mom of Graham-7 yrs, PDD-NOS and Hayley-11 yrs, mild ADD and not always the best model :-)
