Guest guest
Write a letter to you credit bureau and send a copy of the paperwork to prove your case. They can change whatever shows on your record. I had a hospital " turn me in for collections " even though I was making regular payments according to our agreement. Then when I had finished paying them off...they turned it in as not paid. I contacted the credit bureau and they straightened it all out. The hospital or collection agency claimed that they didn't show that I had ever owed them a bill....how convenient...then give me my money back!!! LOL!! Guest guest
Dear Kay, I am not sure of which state that you live in however you should know that this Drs office cannot expect you to pay this bill at all. When they billed your insurance company they had to list everything that they were billing them for,if they failed to do so it then becomes the drs problem not yours. When they sent you the bill with past due, that had already been paid by your insurance company they are commiting insurance fraud. If they add this on your credit report as " past due " you can sue them for ten times the amount of what was put on your credit report. If you havent done so already, contact the insurance company and get a print out of when the bill was submitted, you will also want an itemized list of what they were charged for and what they paid, keep the bill that the drs office sent to you.Send them a letter certified stateing they were paid be your insurance company and also include copies of everything that you have. If they persist I would consider contacting an attorney in this matter. I went through a simular thing with my gyn and was billed 2100.00,due to a billing error on there part.I fought it in the same manner as above and won. If you have anyquestions please feel free to email me . Tara __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Dear Kay, If Dr. Elariny did not submit this bill for collection, it will have no bearing on your credit rating.
