I know S.! Hopefully #4 will be her! I totoally thought of you

after my 20 week ultra sound about the baby maybe haveing clubfeet.

Because I'm the one who said to you...that it would be nice if the

stork could give us all a second clubfoot baby before passing out a

3rd to you. So when we found out that the baby may have clubfeet

again, I was thinking I should have kept my big mouth quiet! I can't

believe your 32 weeks, that is nuts!!!

Fortunately I am so over the club foot part of it all, and even a 3rd boy will

be OK although I dreamed the other night of giving birth to the fattest little

girl baby you ever did see...I just wish God would tell me a NAME!

Funny Story about the name-

My dad told my mom's ob that it was tradition to name the first born

son after the doctor-well the ob's name was Undong Pak. So the

doctor was like " oh no Mister sucher, you can not do that " and my

dad kept saying-yup-his name will be Undong Pak Sucher. I think that

is hilarious and a funny story. It kept the whole process of birth

lighthearted since my older brother was born breach!! However, he

was named !

Best wishes with the name-maybe God will let you know when you hold

your little boy for the first time!!

best wishes on your remaining 8 weeks,

kathleen

It doesn't matter where the name comes from. Marcus wasn't my idea

of a good name, but since I had given up, I said I would accept

whatever name my husband chose. Now I love the name and it actually

fits my little guy perfectly.

My daughter, Kelsey, got her name from one of the zookeepers that works with

Steve Irwin on Crocodile Hunter. My husband loves this show and one night,

while struggling with another little girl's name, we were watching Animal

Planet and she was on the show that night He looked at me and said, " How about

Kelsey? " . It stuck and we already had chosen a middle name of so

there you go.

Then again this is coming from someone who named her child from the

side of a plumbing truck... Merek. Found out later we had the

spelling wrong anyway... the plumbing company is Marek but when dh

came home and said he'd seen a good name on the side of a plumbing

truck and wrote it down for me he spelled it Merek. I'm glad he misspelled

it!

Oh the joys of remembering how we got those cute baby names. We had the name all

ready for out third child when I was in a new town 4 hours away from home and

the nurse had taken me to the nic unit to see all those poor babies in there. (

I tell you, you don't take a mother in premature labor to the nic unit. WELL AT

LEAST THIS MOM) but that is another book. We had sat down and thought that he

should have a name in case he did come early.Would of been nice if God would of

told us that we had 10 months to wait. lol So we picked Quintin Kendrick B.

About 3 months later I was watchin " A Baby Story. " When a couple just had a

little bot who they named Noah somethin. I said, " Poor kid " . dh said, "

Why I think Noah is a good name and if it wasn't late I would change it. " I told

him that I liked Noah too, it was that I did not like. ( thinkin of the

cat on the tv ) And that I was still prego with him, like the birth certificate

wasn't filled out already. lol So we changed it

on one condition. I got to keep Kendrick!! I am so glad we did. I wasn't

looking forward to my mother telling me that we spelled Quintin wrong or that we

a pronouncing it wrong for the rest of his life. My other 2 kids are named after

family.

We were having a really hard time coming up with boys names....we

have had two girls names since when we first started dating. But the

boys names are tough.

I was looking online one afternoon trying to find inspiration for

names. (I was an English Major in college). I knew we wanted

something traditional, Eastern European, and something that had some

sort of family history for either my husband or myself. I found this

list of authors, and Aleksandr Pushkin was on the list. I sent the

name to my husband, and we both agreed that it fit. Then we bickered

over the spelling. We knew we wanted the " ks " instead of the x, but

argued over whether or not there should be an er at the end, or just

r. I let him have that one, and Aleksander is now spelled with an e

at the end.

And, I found out there is a history way back in my family of

s, so we had the family history too. It just seems to fit

the little guy, so I guess it all works out.

I looked for Pulitzer prize winners, nobel prize winners, etc.

Here's a few links I was looking at:

http://www.pulitzer.org/index.html

http://nobelprize.org/index.html

http://almaz.com/nobel/literature/alpha.html

Not sure if either of these are where I found Aleksander, but these

are the places I searched when I was bored at work!

Happy hunting!
