Guest guest
I don't know much about soya but i think she'll see some improvements in another week or two or three from getting rid of the yeast and sugar....and startting the nystatin should help get rid of the yeast faster...sounds like she's on the right track. sharon c. Guest guest
The issues you describe here do sound like yeast and/or high phenols. You do mention the Nystatin, so your friend may find that to be very helpful for her son. I will comment on the phenols. Here is my information, you can look here or have your friend look here and see if something here might strike her as something else to remove and/or try. http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/phenol.htm You do mention mega B6. That can aggravate phenol issues in some children. Is this child still on mega B6 and/or P5P supplementation? If so, I would recommend stopping that. Also, one of my children is major hyperactive on any type of oils, but some he tolerates better than others. Perhaps your friend can reduce and/or eliminate all the oils in her son's diet and see if that helps. Has your friend considered enzymes? It can also be that her child just basically reacts to ALL foods, and digestive enzymes can help her child with this issue. Here is a listserv for more information on that. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/enzymesandautism One final thought. All foods contain phenols/salicylates, just some foods more than others. One of my kids is VERY extra sensitive to high phenols, but maybe your friend's child is even MORE sensitive than mine, and he just cannot process ANY phenols, which would make life exactly like you describe, just from eating ANYTHING. I would recommend she consider some of the ideas from my phenol information page above, for example epsom salt baths, molybdenum, or one of the other ideas, to help her son process the phenols he receives just by eating. But I do also believe the yeast treatment will help a great deal, from what you describe here. I hope something here helps. Good luck. > Hi, > I wondered if ANYONE had any ideas for my friends little boy. > He has been strictly GF/CF for nearly 3 years, sees a kinesiologist, a > homeopath, and a kranial osteopath regularly and has elimiated all > phenols, sulphates, nitrates.
