He had it, a guy who played defense for Green Bay did, and so did

a Yamaguchi (the olympic ice skater). Sure does look

promising for our little ones!!

I forgot to ask....it says in Mia Hamm's profile that she was born

with a " partial " clubfoot. What exactly does that mean??

I think Troy Aikman had metatarsus adductus not full-blown clubfoot. Maybe this

is what was meant with Mia Hamm.

There's a picture of Mia Hamm in a DBB when she was little. So I

assumed she had regular clubfoot.

they used the DBB for MA in the 60's & 70's, three of my cousins

wore it for MA at or around 1975. I remember one of them walking

across the room in hers at the age of 3. her mother insists it

helped. Could go either way with this pic of Mia Hamm but since very

few Dr's were practicing the Ponseti Method back then it's more

likely she wore it for MA than CF but of course, that's just

speculation. Dr. Ponseti published two papers around that time, one

on MA saying the DBB was not necessary (and didn't even work) and in

most cases the MA would correct itself over time, and one paper about

clubfoot and his method. The MA paper was received well and Dr's all

over stopped using the DBB for MA and haven't since. The clubfoot

paper was largely ignored.
