Guest guest
Steve, Look out, there is a big ball of healing light headed your way! stones rolling! $#!^ !! I feel yet another kidney stone starting to roll down the highway of pain--same side as before. I am at work. My Percosets are at home. And, I have to be here for another three hours at least to give a planned demo of a videoconferencing system to management. ARGHHH! --Steve -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
Steve: Just a thought to make your " rolling stone " roll a little easier. Can you contact your MD by phone and ask him to call in an RX for Percocet to the pharmacy nearest your office? An office friend could pick it up if the pharmacy can't deliver right away. Also--drink water, breathe, think pleasant thoughts--and strain your urine! A coffee filter will do. Good luck with the stone and the demo. Just remember--a rolling stone gathers no moss! RNC 10/3 is getting closer. (DS with Dr. Pomp in NYC) > $#!^ !! I feel yet another kidney stone starting to roll down the > highway of pain--same side as before. I am at work. Guest guest
Jeez, Steve, you poor guy! Why can't the doctors do something to help you prevent them? Take care, dee --- Steve Goldstein wrote: > $#!^ !! I feel yet another kidney stone starting to > roll down the > highway of pain--same side as before. I am at work. > My Percosets > are at home. You must have aimed it at my home. I am leaving the office for home now, and I hope I get there in time to seize the light! Actuallly, while I am still feeling pain, the stones are still in the ureter. Once they hit the bladder, the pain goes away. I am an old hand already. The three days after the airplane attacks at WTC and Pentagon, I passed a total of 12 stones! >Good luck with the stone and the demo. Just remember--a rolling >stone gathers no moss! Gotcha. Thanks. Guest guest
Damn Steve, The best I can do is cyberly transmit a Dilauded to you! Can you feel it working...you may slur a bit during your presentation, but what the hell....I want you to create a first slide " This is Steve's Uretha " Second Slide: " This is the rock of gibralter moving down Steve's urethra " ....I guarantee your demo can only get more entertaining from there!!! Sending gently hugs....hell, you aren't in driving distance of San Francisco, are you? I could deliver! Of course, these pills are doing to my bowels similarly what your stones are doing to you! Looking for heavy equipment trucks to roll down the block any minute now...doubling over with you! Theresa > $#!^ !! Can you >feel it working...you may slur a bit during your presentation, but >what the hell....I want you to create a first slide " This is Steve's >Uretha " Close, Theresa. The kidney connects to the bladder via a ureter. That's where the pain is generated: as the rocks descend through the ureter. Once in the bladder, they come out into the cold cruel world through the urethra. That part is so comparatively painless that I don't even know it is happening unless I strain the urine. So, we'd need about three slides, minimum. But, that'd be one helluva show! >Second Slide: " This is the rock of gibralter moving down >Steve's urethra " ....I guarantee your demo can only get more >entertaining from there!!! > >Sending gently hugs....hell, you aren't in driving distance of San >Francisco, are you? Wish I were. I'm on the right coast in D.C. I just got home from work and promptly took a Percoset. >I could deliver! We can surely do a duo-double! Thanks for the kind thoughts, --Steve > >Theresa --
Guest guest
Thanks so much, Liane. A rock came out this morning. Bigger then anything last week. I reckon about 5 mm in size, and jagged. That explains the pain. I'm getting tired of this. I left a call with the urologist's office and asked about lithotripsy to break up whatever else might be left behind. How are you doing after the losses of last week? You had the proverbial baptism by fire. I don't want to see you burn out. It's going to be hard to establish enough distance between you and your clients without also losing your empathy and caring. Are there role models there who can listen and offer you some feedback to help you cope? Lots'a love, Steve At 4:00 AM +0000 9/27/01, Lili F. wrote: >Steve.. >Sending lots of warm healing thoughts that your stones turn to sand.. >{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Steve}}}}}}}}}}}}} >hugs, >Liane --
