Guest guest
Gail, I have had panic attacks since 1988. Due to them, I can't drive on freeways, overpasses, busy left lanes and bridges/tunnels. Kind of limiting, eh? If I am accepted by Dr Rabkin, I am going to have a devil of a time getting to the meetings and appointments due to this (and I can't take public transportation either). Having said that, I have had 6 surgeries (gall bladder, two carpal tunnel, 2 D & Cs and a fissure) and I was under general anesthesia for all. The way I did it was to beg the hospital to meet me in the hospital doorway with a big shot of valium. Twice I was given it, the other 4 times I was told to take valium before going there. It worked. But if I was partially awake while on the operating table, I would have freaked out because my problem is feeling trapped. Being strapped to a table having surgery performed on me qualifies as being trapped! dee --- gail latterell wrote: > > > ****Donna -- > You bring up an excellent point and one that I am > worried about.
