Guest guest Posted August 30, 2001 Report Share Posted August 30, 2001 In my never ending search for protein ideas I came up with the following: I found low carb " Keto Chips " at the health food store, in classic corn tortilla flavor. They have 3 gm carbs, 10 grams protein, 8 gm fat and 6 gm fiber per 1 oz serving. I'd like to tell you they taste just like tortilla chips, but I would be lying. However, they aren't too bad as long as you don't compare them side by side with the real thing. I threw a can of chili and about 8 oz of velveeta lite into the crock pot to melt. So, I had chips and dip for dinner (I am sooo tired of just eating chicken breast, eggs and beef!). The can of chili had 20 grams of protein. I have no idea about the cheese, as the packaging is long gone. The kids enjoyed the dinner immensely, I got my protein, and it felt like I was eating junk, which is sometimes a good thing!
