Guest guest
our son,2, is on an elimination diet to check for allergies (in addition to gfcf). didn't notice much improvement including being off of dairy and gluten. so we decided to take him off of apple, grape, banana and tomato( he was allowed to have these). after that we did see some modest improvements. Question--are these phenol foods? what are other foods related to these that we should try to eliminate? he's been gfcf for about 6 weeks--do you think we need more time?? Guest guest
--Dave,look at the message right above yours-its #76133 because there is alot of info posted about pheynols. There are several besides the one you mentioned such as peanuts, cocoa, oranges, colored fruit, berries, cherries, peppers, etc. I definitely think you should try the diet longer than 6 wks-most people recommend several months as it can take a long time to really rid the system and see improvements- and there can always be little things remaining that are interfering with your successs. The longer you try the diet the better chance you have of finding all these hidden foods. Best of luck.
