Guest guest
You asked .. How long is long enough to give the diet a fair try? Until you are certain that it is helping your child? I've heard 3 months, 6 months, a year. IMHO three months is not enough-you are bound to make mistakes in the first few months and then you would not have really cleared the peptides out so you may not have accurate results. 6 months is a better judge-three months to get your ducks in a row and three to see if your child will respond. But bear in mind some have stated it took a whole year to see the benefits-depending on the age of the child. Also keep in mind that a withdrawl period usually happens-that causes the child to act worse than before the diet-IT IS A GOOD SIGN-it means that the child will most likly benefit from the dietary intervention. The withdrawl period varies in duration but ours was only a few days at best-but it can take weeks. And finally for constitpation-going dairy free solved our problem{and it was bad} so this may also work for you. But if not prunes work pretty darn good too.
