I told her that last I checked, ObesityHelp promotes learning about ALL types of WLS, not just RnY, & while I was sorry she was uncomfortable, I was not talking to her, & planned on finishing my convo.. then someone else piped up saying that I had " an agenda " ...I very sweetly said that it seemed to me that if two persons are having a conversation in an open, unmoderated chat room and nothing derogatory or untruthful is being said that those NOT involved in the convo who are attempting to control the topic of conversation must have the agenda... if they don't like what they are learning, it's not my problem. It got very quiet for a while, & I went on talking to the newbie.. I'm not going to be bullied out of the chatroom by a bunch of insecure RnYers. I personally think its important to know EVERY type of WLS surgery so we can all make informed decisions. Whats great for one of us is not for the other. I LOVE my results and I want to share them just like all the RNY's want to share their results. It shouldnt be a problem. ~~* AJ *~~ Age 37 5'8'' Post op 7/24/01 Open BPD/DS self pay - Dr Baltasar -Alcoy Spain 07/24/01 BMI 64 415.1 08/06/01 BMI 59 390.2 -24.9 lbs! -10.75 inches 08/16/01 BMI 58 387.0 -28.1 lbs! -11.25 inches 08/24/01 BMI 58 386.5 -28.6 lbs! -15.5 inches 08/30/01 BMI 58 378.3 -36.8 lbs! -21.25 inches My personal website: www.WLS4AJ.homestead.com Check out the Bellingham Support Group at WWW.WLSBellingham.homestead.com
Guest guest
I don't understand the denial when we try to give information. >>>>>> exactly! Im on one list where I was from the very beginning and Im the only DSer there and Ive had no problems.....I have even met two of them last June! But the other lists....you are just not accepted there if you are a DSer and a success.....come to think of it, have you ever heard of a bad DS or DSers regaining and panicing about their problems like the RNYers on the ossg_hungry list? I think post-op RNY folks who are behind the anger/attitude. After all, if you had just spent every cent you had for a beat-up, rusted out Dodge, wouldn't you be pissed off if somebody came along and told you she got a Ferrari for the same price? Oh, I hate it when that happens. And you're right, Tom. I'd rather they just didn't tell me if that were the case.

Pick a more appropriate clunker.. like ohhh, sayyyy a Yugo? lol.. Hugs, Liane
