Connie,

i didn't have a cross-bite or asymmetric face BEFORE the surgery,

but now I have slight asymmetry after my lower jaw advancement....

apparently, it's very common...

the ortho is trying to fix it now...

funnily, i always thought i looked better just before the surgery,

and now i know why...

yes - not all faces are perfect, but we should strive for best

results...

Zulu, no one wants to look worse after the surgery...and that is what

most of us fear. Are we changing one thing for the worse to fix

another thing?? I hope you get the results you are looking for and I

hope they are realistic expectations. I am done with surgery and the

rest of my minor asymmetry is normal in about 90% of mankind says my

OT and I believe him. Look closely at even the most beautiful people

and you will notice one side of the eyes and face is higher or lower

or different shaped. People aren't perfect naturally but still you

deserve the results you were promised. Best of luck.

I don't have a cross-bite or misaligned face after surgery. If you

look at my day 10 face, my nose looks crooked, but it's just because

my face was slightly more swollen on one side and if you saw me now,

it's back to being straight. But besides that, I think I look better,

perfect bite and symmetry. Yay for me I guess.
