I was wired shut for 10 weeks, and I'll probably have the splint in for 12 weeks. and that probably at 14 weeks they'll take out my skeletal wires. He said that he wants to have no doubt that my bite will stay put, so that is a good thing but...I want pizza too!!! Jo In a message dated 3/17/2005 6:07:16 P.M. Every surgeon has different experiences to draw from and will respond differently to similar situations. The answer is not black and white. That is why they call it the " Art " of medicine.
