Guest guest
I'm only a couple of weeks ahead of you and only weighed a little less than you did pre-op. I had the exact same problem. It was compounded by having a friend who had the surgery a year earlier tell me I would automatically lose 30 lbs in 30 days. Boy did that not happen for me!!I was feeling like a failure. And I knew I was hardly taking in any calories at all. My doctor told me even though my start was slow, I was still " on the curve " and was doing fine. The other point is that a lot of people start out with much more weight to lose, therefore their loss is greater. The good news is the weight loss kicked back in again and as of Wednesday I'd lost 35 lbs. > hi all wondered if some of you could answer some questions for me. i had my surgery on 4/22 and started at 281. today i am at 253 its been 7 weeks and it seems for the last week or 2 i havent really lost i actually have gained and lost the same 2-3 pounds. i am taking in about 500-600 calories a day and i am exercising some each day usually doing a walk away the pounds dvd for 1 to1 1/2 miles. i am getting in about 60 oz of water and eating about 60 grams of protein on the avg. at a web site i go to some seem to think i need more calories. i have been trying to reach the nutritionist at my dr office but she hasnt called me back yet so just thought i would try and get some opinions from people that have been there! > thanks > Tracey > > >
