When we started potty training our 4yo at the beginning of June, she would

sit on

the potty for over four hours without going. We did the all day potty party

for two

days. Now she seems to be getting the idea, but for a couple of weeks

everyone

involved spent a LOT of time in the bathroom, and it was quite a bother to

have to

take her every 10-15 minutes for a couple of weeks but she's now on a 40-45

minute off schedule and she goes almost immediately she sits on the potty.

It's also very unusual for her to have an accident when she's out of the

house.

Can't say we've had any problems with her not pooping in the potty. Maybe

they're

still to come?

It is certainly an option. Everyone in all the environments

(school-home or whereever) has to do the same thing otherwise who

ever

gives him the pull-up -that's where he will go.

My daughter still tends to hold her urine or poop. She's three and

finally just starting to get the hang of potty stuff. Has gone 3

times in potty the last 3 days. We are holding our breathe We are

still in pull-ups and she still does her BMs in there. So might be

in

the same boat with you soon.

I also had a friend whose NT little girl would do the same thing.

How

they handled it - they made a hole in the pull up in the back and

kept

making it bigger and bigger as the child got use to seeing her poop

in

the potty. Eventually they weaned her off the pull-up. It was kinda

messy though.

Good luck

Let us know how it turns out since some of us may have that problem

later
