Be sure you talk with him about your desire for orthognathic surgery

BEFORE he does the implant. I'm not sure about whether it's possible to

do the surgery AFTER an implant. I'm no dentist, nor surgeon, though.

Cammie - Excellent Point!! He and I only briefly discussed my interest

in having the surgery at my consult for the extraction on Monday, so

I'm not sure if he knows how serious I am about going thru all this.

The tooth that will be removed on Friday is a baby tooth - #K, and I

have another one of those baby teeth @ the same location on the other

side (#T)- it didn't look too healthy on my December Panalex xray

either. I,in fact, brought that to my surgeon's attention, but he said

if it wasn't bothering me not to worry. So, that tooth would probably

have to come out too, prior to braces. I'm so happy you brought this to

my attention and I will definitely ask him before he administers my IV

sedation. Thank You!! // Diane

I know they're anomalies, but I must say that as a person who has

many, many crowns on adult teeth, and some of those crowns looking

as though they need to be done again, I am unabashed in my

admiration of anyone who has managed to preserve baby teeth into her

40s!
